Gilbert Garcin (born in La Ciotat June 21, 1929) is a French photographer, originally from Provence, and more precisely in La Ciotat. He began making photographs at the age of retirement. He portrays himself in different situations, in most unreal scenery.

He has a singular style: his montages depict different situations, and have in common derision, the absurdity of the human condition and humor that sometimes resembles that of the theater of the absurd by Eugene Ionesco. His photographs echo the mythology and painting.
