Lauren Ward graduated from Duke University cum laude with a biology and classics double major, then immediately joined Ernst & Young, LLP as a management consultant where she spent 3 years.
A position at the University of Michigan Business School brought her to Ann Arbor, where she was a marketer and recruiter of prospective students. Lauren was very persuasive, able to even recruit herself on the idea of B-school. In 2002, having concentrated on marketing and management, Lauren graduated from University of Texas at Austin’s McComb School of Business with her MBA as a Longhorn Scholar. With a decade of experience behind her, Lauren joined Freescale, in the corporate marketing department, serving as special projects manager during the IPO and spinoff from Motorola, and as the manager of marketing’s role in new product development. By the end of 2004 she left Freescale to focus on a family and a new career in professional skills and business consulting – her cilents included executives at Fortune 500 companies, entrepreneurs, Gushing Film Productions and others.
Since joining EarthSky in 2008, she has assisted in the development and implementation of new marketing and internet strategies, and focused on corporate communications and sponsor development.
