Milana Braslavsky was born in the Soviet Union in 1983 and moved to the United States in 1993. In 2005, she received a BFA Summa Cum Laude from the Maryland Institute College of Art and was awarded an MFA from the University of Pennsylvania in 2007. Braslavsky has exhibited her work both locally and nationally, including shows in New York, Virginia and Indiana. In 2009, she was awarded a “People’s Choice Award” as part of the prestigious Baker Artists Awards. In addition to making her own work she is currently teaching Art and Design courses at several colleges in Maryland.
