Ka Xiong has been a pro illustrator for almost 15 years and a photographer for nearly four. Xiong bought his first DSLR camera on a whim. The transition from illustration to photography was very natural and his work now fuses a wide range of influences ranging from fashion, illustration, science fiction, comic books, and erotica. As a tribute to illustration, most of his images share the same proportions of a standard comic book page. In his short four years of shooting he has done work for Suicide Girls and Zivity, clothing designers Rockin’ Bones, Karen Von Oppen, Steampunk Couture, and various local bands and singers of Detroit.
