

Paris-based designer Arik Levy is widely regarded as accomplishing a crossover between design and art. His works and installations are just as at home in art galleries as they are in design exhibitions. Levy was born in Tel Aviv and began his career as a graphic designer before moving to Europe. In 1991, he graduated with distinction in Industrial Design at the Art Center Europe in Switzerland. After winning the Seiko Epson Inc. design competition, he began his career as a professional industrial designer in Japan. Back in Europe, he lectured on design and created sets for contemporary dance companies and opera houses all over the world. His products have won numerous design awards, including the imm cologne’s interior innovation award. In 1997, together with Pippo Lionni, he founded the studio L design in Paris. Levy works for international clients from the furniture, accessories and lighting sectors. His work covers industrial design, interior design and graphic design for companies such as Ligne Roset, Vitra, Baccarat, Desalto, Zanotta, Cartier, LG Electronics, Seiko Epson Inc., Baleri Italia, Molteni & C., Ansorg, Swedese, Living Divani, .MGX Materialise and Viccarbe. In 2008, Koelnmesse invited Arik Levy to participate in the imm cologne’s Trendboard.
