Farago Max : photographer

Academic, cerebral and full of wit, the photography of Max Farago is both light-hearted and full of a pedantic attention to detail. A minimalist at his core, Farago says he is more interested in framing reality through his camera lens then constructing fictional narratives. Hence, Farago built a cult following around his more personal projects, many of which involve spare and distilled shots of his friends and lovers. Farago is a regular contributor to Art Review, best known for his stories on art world luminaries such as Richard Sierra and Jeff Koons, and book-like publications such as Purple, 032c, Paradis, Vogue Nippon, i-D and Self Service. Other notable collaborations include working with the editrix Carine Roitfeld for Vogue Paris, of which he remains a frequent contributor, as well as his advertising work for clients such as Topshop, S’Max Mara and Opening Ceremony.
