Born in London in 1964, Miles Aldridge is no stranger to glamor––his father, Alan Aldridge, designed psychedelic album covers for Cream and Elton John, while his wife, Kristen McMenamy, is a supermodel.

His ultra-cinematic images––often depicting women in haute-Stepford mode, and splashed with lurid candy colors—have appeared in Vogue Italia, The New Yorker and The New York Times and are included in the permanent collections of the National Portrait Gallery and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, and the International Center of Photography in New York. David Lynch and Marilyn Manson were among the high-profile contributors to a catalog of essays on his work that accompanied two solo exhibitions––The Cabinet in 2006 and Acid Candy in 2008—at the Reflex Gallery in Amsterdam.
Pictures for Photographs, a large monograph of Aldridge’s photographic work and drawings from his sketchbook, was published in 2009 by Karl Lagerfeld’s Edition 7L imprint at Steidl. Aldridge lives in London with his wife and four children.
