Erik Madigan Heck was born in Excelsior in 1983 to Croatian and Northern Irish parents; he earned his MFA in Photography and Film Related Studies from Parsons School of Design in New York in 2009, where he currently lives and works.
Heck is an artist working with primarily photographic and experimental film materials, in between the industries of fine-art, fashion, and new medias publishing. Heck is a continuing guest lecturer in both the graduate and undergraduate programs at The School of Visual Arts in New York.
