An enigmatic image maker, Shaham has created a series featuring buildings which have had their tops elongated digitally to magnify their overall grandiose scale. One of the many pictures in his ‘American Dream’ series actually depicts the World Trade Center, standing tall at well over four times its original height. What these creations ultimate say about “the American Dream” is for viewers to interpret.
Not much is known about Assaf Shaham and it seems his anonymity is a conscious effort as he purposefully posted Lorem Ipsum-like text under the biography section of his personal website.
