McCartney Bryon Paul : photographer

“My current work focuses on intimate and evocative images of women I meet through my travels. I am not interested in creating a ficticious fantasy world, I am more interested in knowing the truth, discovering the real. My interactions with models are fueled by my ability to help them to relax and be themsleves. I work with profesional and amateur models but no matter whom I work with, my goal is the same, I want to remove the veil, I want to see the real person in front of my lens.” Bryon Paul McCartney
Acclaimed American commercial and fine art photographer, Bryon Paul McCartney, lives and works near Zürich, Switzerland. His work is sought out by discerning clients and art collectors around the world.
McCartney’s commercial work focuses on advertising, corporate and editorial assignments that help successful companies communicate about their people, processes and products in both images and films. Recent clients have included Alstom, Chevrolet Europe, Dow Chemical, Sulzer and Thompson Reuters.
In stark contrast to his commercial photography, McCartney is also a fine art and erotic nude photographer. Initially, his work explored the sculptural and dynamic form of the figure in motion, working closely with dancer and Cirque du Soleil performer, Giulia Piolanti. Over time his work has evolved and expanded to explore erotic and fetish themes, where he has sought to create sensual and suggestive images of women and couples. These images often explore secret moments and require a personal rapport and trust with the models.
McCartney has won several awards for his work, including first place in fine art nudes in the International Photography Awards, and first place in the Prix de la Photographie Paris. McCartney also offers photography workshops through the ViewFinder Center of Photography, based in Winterthur, Switzerland.
