Born in 1981 and raised in New York City,Devin Yalkin is a black & white photographer whose works never fail to bring order to scenes of confusion. Starting out as a street photographer, Yalkin has continued to bring the aesthetics and elements of this process of urban reportage to his newer works.

As a first generation Turkish-Armenian-American, Devin’s images in Urban Origins display the parallels he has captured shooting between New York City and various cities of his heritage in Turkey, primarily in Istanbul. He received his BFA in Photography at the School of Visual Arts in New York City on May 2010, Devin Yalkin plans to continue the documentation of his curiosities on and off the streets.Currently living and working in New York City, he has also studied at the International Center of Photography in NY. Yalkin recently was hired to shoot a photo story for TIME magazine.
